How to book keep a company car purchase

Hi,

How can I book a company car purchase and also report the depreciation ?

Which ledger account to use for the purchase of company car so it comes under company asset, and then which ledger account to report the depreciation amount every year ? I want to depreciate the amount using straight 20% rule.

Hi

1241 is the correct account for cars. 

If you go to the page Inställningar > Företagsinställningar and enter the tab Bokföringsuppgifter. Ther's a box you can tick so the system will handle the depreciations automatically for you. Choose if you wnat to do the depreciation monthly or anually.
 

Then enter the car under Bokföring > Anläggningstillgångar and mark the box Skriv av.
